New Tooth

Well, this is my first official post on my new blog! Last weekend Hana's first two teeth came out. She went to the dentist and he pulled them. She was such a tropper. She didn't cry at all. They don't have the Tooth Fairy in Japan, but we decided to go one western, one eastern. One tooth she put in an envelope and put under the futon(she doesn't really use a pillow). We all sleep together anyway. She was so excited when she discovered 100 yen in the envelope the next morning. The other tooth we'll take to Grandma and Grandpa's house. In Japan, for a bottom tooth, they throw the it on top of the roof in hopes a new strong tooth will grow up. If it's a top tooth, they throw it under the house in hopes a new tooth will grow down. They also sometimes sing a mouse song as mice have everygrowing teeth. Incidentally, my Filipino co-worker says they throw the tooth outside and call a mouse.
